So I am stuck I have no idea how to decorate my alter! Were having a country wedding out in the middle of nowhere. My colors are cream and kind of a colbalt blue.
theres the link to my venu and there are photos of the alter. I would love some suggestions!

I had to look through the pictures twice. the first time becuase I was distracted by how strangely photoshopped some of the pictures looked (seriously un-natural). and the second time because I didn’t see an alter in any of those weddings.
I did notice there is a arch thing with vines and thought it was lovely.

I found some really cool ideas at this blog (scroll down, there are lots of other simple, wooden altars):

I once saw a cute idea where the couple found two old bicycles with baskets on the front. Inside of the baskets were flowers. You could find flowers that complimented your color scheme. Or, you could adapt this and get a couple of large, wine barrels and put flowers on top of them as well.
This link is helpful too:

@globalmargaret: Seriously, what is going on with that guy inside the black hole of a barn?? And the bride and FOB on a greenscreen?
EDIT: Not that the venue isn’t beautiful! But some of those photos are…interesting…
Anyway, the arch is beautiful and doesn’t need a whole lot of decoration. I like the greenery on it, maybe adding more of that to the bottom and some flowers in your colors?

@STEPHANIE9008: My post isn’t showing for some reason.
Here is the arch
I was picking up on @melisslp:‘s idea. If it suits your wedding bicycles with flowers would be cute.
Another idea would be to use a pice of vintage furniture painted in blue, placed behind the arch with an arrangement of flowers.
