- Wedding: April 2014
Hello bees! We’re getting my e-ring done custom and I’m having a hard time articulating things to the jeweler. I want the halo to sit up high enough so that my wedding band will fit under it flat against the e-ring band. No gap between the two rings or to get a wedding band that has a curve to fit around the halo. I’m a very visual person and have a terrible time explaining things to people, so I’m not sure how to word this to the jeweler. Is there a specific term in the jewelry industry that describes a halo with that space under it?
I only briefly talked to the jeweler when we stopped by one day and I got totally flustered (my head was all “holy crap this is happening!”) but basically she told us to find pictures of what I like and they’ll make a wax model. I’ve found a lot of top view photos of rings, but not the side of a ring so you can see how high the halo is so I don’t know how helpful that would be.
Does anyone know how I would word this, or have a photo that would be appropriate to show the jeweler? I just want to be clear with them and I don’t think the jibberish that normally comes out of my mouth will get the job done 😛
