This is the first time I have allowed a simple body imparment become an issue in my own mind. I had an early day and decided to sit outside with my lap top and enjoy the summer weather in Michigan. As I was adjusting the monitor I noticed that I have these divets that have been created by my bra straps.
I am top heavy and have been so my entire life. I have worn all types of bras and no matter what what they still dig in and hurt my shoulders. So as I was looking at the reflection of myself I saw these ugly shoulders.
I have purchased a strapless dress and it is the most beautiful dress for me. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Ball-Gown-Featuring-3D-Floral-Details-CWG322
How do I make these ugly shoulders pretty in 10 months?

@MrsBays: It’s hard when you are a large busted woman. Have you ever been properly fitted for a bra? The support for our breasts should be coming from the band, not the straps. That way you will have less weight on your shoulders.

Yep, if your straps are digging in, you’re wearing the wrong bra size. Go get properly fitted.

Wow, I’m sorry. Are they always there, even when you wake up in the morning? Maybe you could start wearing a different style of bra (thicker, more padded straps, or halter/criss-cross straps/t-back so that the same area of your shoulder isn’t always under strain)? Or invest in a high quality corset so that the support is coming from boning and your ribcage rather than from straps?
My first step would be to go to a high end lingerie shop or Nordstroms and get a professional bra fitting to ensure that you’re wearing the correct size. Then look into different styles of bras + straps. Perhaps massaging the areas with some kind of rejuvenating lotion every night would improve things as well.
Maybe some of the more generously endowed bees can be of more help…
