So I’ve been scouring etsy for some cool and affordable invites, and all the designers that I like provide a digital PDF file that you then get printed yourself … how does this work? Do you take it to Kinkos or something or are there like professional invitation printers??? Ugh …

You can take them to Kinkos, Office Max and other office places. I would make sure to go talk to them about the PDF and what kind of paper you want them printed on first. You can also go online to http://www.vistaprint.com or http://www.shutterfly.com. I’ve heard really good things about both, but do consider that Shutterfly costs more, usually, and their printing/paper quality is a little better from what I’ve read. Here’s Miss Nacho’s review on printing her cards: http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/02/04/i-never%e2%80%a6/#more-129162

Kinko’s, Walgreens, Fred Meyer. If you can print there, you can take your PDF file there. Curlysue has the right idea about talking about the paper you want it on first, though.

I had this issue too. I didn’t like the quality at Kinkos and I didn’t trust the idea of sending my invites afar to be printed. I found an old local printer and they were so helpful! They ordered the paper which saved money because they got a better price than I would get. Plus, I went in a few times to color check, which I like because I’m a little OCD.
Good luck!

I used http://www.catprint.com – I found them to be the cheapest – but I also wanted them printed on linen cardstock.
