So, I had dress regret and made a hasty second dress purchase. Then I decided I actually loved the original dress and have been trying to sell the second dress online for a few months now. It’s the Maggie Soterro “Rebecca Louise.” I paid $800 for it (that included dry cleaning since it was a sample) and have it listed for $500 (lowered from $800) on this site, preownedweddingdresses.com, and tradesy.com. The only inquiry I’ve gotten is from some scam artist trying to get me to give him my Paypal account info. Does anyone have any advise on how I can sell this darn dress? Another website? A consignment shop in Northern California? Anything?

@SmangieBee: Look online for shops that rent out dresses. They are bound to buy it right? Bombard all the shops you can find with an email about your dress, specs and pics and add in bold postal/ delivery costs at buyer’s expense.

I don’t know how long Uve had the dress for sale, but right now I think u might be outside of peak dress purchase season. U might be able to get a buyer who needs a dress immediately for a wedding in the next few months. Otherwise ull need to be patient. It can take months or over a year even to sell something like that. If u get a buyer soon, that’s great!

@Flanders: I didn’t think about that. Thanks! I’ll give it a try.
@BeeG35: I think you are right. I’ll cross my fingers that someone will need a last minute dress. Until then, I’ll try to exert some patience 🙂

Have you tried Craigslist?
