I have a Diamond Dazzle Stik, and it’s the best $10 I’ve ever spent. They have the type of stones it’s safe to use with listed on the packaging, but I’m pretty sure it’s safe for sapphires. I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. Makes it look like new! Congrats on your engagement, beautiful ring!!

I have a 2carat blue sapphire and they are a b-word to keep clean. Dawn dish soap and a little bit of water diluted Windex is what I used to keep mine in clean-ish. LOVE your ring, it’s very very beautiful.

That’s pretty normal. Just your natural skin oils will make it look dull, and of course, your hands are into everything throughout the day. It’s also not uncommon to be a little obsesseive about keeping it clean when you first get your ering. After a while, you’ll get to the point where you don’t even remember the last time you cleaned it!

Congratulations! Your ring is beautiful!

Mrsmyi:  I LOVE your ring! The pink sapphire is to die for! That is one of my favorite stones.

Sorry, I have no advice. I just wanted to comment on how pretty it is!

I’ll tell ya…  Just baby soap and water.  Drop it in the water for a few minutes.  If its real dirty you can leave it in the water a few hours.  Whatever you feel like.  Scrub it with a soft toothbrush to clean it extra good.  And I’ll tell you a trick a jeweler told me…  Dry the ring under a blow dryer.  It may sound silly but makes all the difference in the shine.  Dry until all water gone.

Mrsmyi:  Your ring is gorgeous! I have a pink sapphire ring too and the jeweller who made it told me to clean it in hot water with a splash of handy andy (generic cleaning detergent stuff). I just put my ring in a cup with it and take it out a few minutes later and its super sparkly. It also works with dish washing liquid. I have noticed that it does tend to get dirty/dull easily though.

Yes to the blowdryer!!! It dries the ring with no water marks!

I boil water and add dish soap and let my ring soak for a few mins. The hot water breaks up all the gunk. Then I rinse and blow dry! If I’m feeling extra fancy I put a little windex on a q tip and shine up the center stone.
