I have NO idea why I’m thinking about this tonight, but I know someone here will offer some great advice.
My future hubby is built like an NFL linebacker. He hates attention and it’s going to be pulling teeth to just get one slow dance from him on our wedding day (we’ve been together 6 years and I have never danced with him!). I know that typically, in receptions, the bride and groom kick off all the dancing…but what happens when your new husband won’t dance??? There has to be a fun, creative way of getting everyone up there to dance. We’re having a laid-back BBQ wedding so anything goes!
Would doing a dollar dance type thing be a good idea? Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Can you do your slow dance and get someone to call everyone up half way through so they are all on the dance floor for the second more upbeat song, that way lots of people will be up dancing when your Darling Husband goes to sit back down. Line up your dad or sibling/friend to take over fro your dh.

We are doing a dance for all the married couples first. The DJ will then start calling out years and if a couple has been married less than that number, they have to go sit down. The couple that ends up the last to dance (married the longest) then will get a gift from us. You could always try something like that? They don’t really need a prize at the end, but maybe switch it up and say all married couples come up and dance and give the bride and groom a word of advice?
