Ladies- I need your help! How can I tell if the gown I bought was a knock off?
I fell in love with the Allure 1850 at the store but I was waiting for a trunk show to buy it. I went online to check on the dress and saw it was no longer being offered at that store so I did a google search and found it on preowneddress.com being sold as a sample dress.
So I bought the dress but it just didn’t fit or look like the pictures I took in the store (granted it’s still a size too big and was clipped at the store).
I checked the tag and it says: inner shell 100% polyester, outershel 100% polyester. Is that normal? I looked it up and the dress should be satin.
Does anyone else have Allure dress that can show me their tag so I can compare? Thanks!!

You could call the store back and see if they will sell you the sample. I would take the list from the designers web site and start calling them one by one and asking if they have a samle in your size and color. I had to do that with a dress that I fell in love with. I finally found it two states away, but right next to my moms house, so she picked it up for me but they were willing to ship it to me.

I’m pretty certain modern satin is made of polyester.

Thanks, maybe I’m just having a freak out moment It’s hard b/c I did it all by myself, my mom lives out of town and I tried on the dress at a bridal workshop I went to without my bridesmaids.

False alarm! I went back to the store and they still had it. It looks exactly like my dress at home and I tried it on again, this time all clipped up and I still love it. Whew!
