I feel like I should honor my Maid/Matron of Honor by making her stand out from the other BMs in some way. I wanted all my girls to wear the same dresses, but I would like to do something else that makes my Maid/Matron of Honor stand out!!
I was thinking maybe a different color shoes or a special necklace or possible a brooch?
What have some of you done to make your Maid/Matron of Honor stand out? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I’m trying to figure this out too…..I was thinking about a bigger bouquet than everyone else. But it also does help that your Maid/Matron of Honor will be the first person beside you. I like your idea of a brooch too!

I went with a bouquet that was a bit bigger than the other girls. It wasn’t super noticeable, but considering she’ll usually be the one who stands next to you in photos, it was usually fairly obvious who the best man and maid of honour were.

Besides flowers think accessories. You could have her wear a sash or even a different hairpiece. It’s all in the details! Maybe her shoes could match yours in a different color.

I have a friend who was a Maid/Matron of Honor and her bride incorporated her favorite flower into the bouquet. The Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets were light pink roses, so for the Maid/Matron of Honor, light pink calalillies were included. It was super cute and my friend was really touched that the bride though of her in it.
A wedding I was in this summer had the Maid/Matron of Honor in a different dress. (They were long skirts and seperate tops, so her top was different than ours.
Finally, in pictures of a wedding I saw online, the colors were green and yellow. The Bridesmaid or Best Man were all in yellow dresses with green sashes and the Maid/Matron of Honor was in a green dress with a yellow sash. It was SOO cute! My original colors were purple and orange, but I may be throwing teal into the mix rto replicate that look. Depending on your colors, that could be a really cute option as well.

- Wedding: April 2011 - The Tribute Golf Club
I was just the Maid/Matron of Honor for my friend’s wedding and she made my bouquet stand out. The rest of the bridesmaids had green hydrangeas with red roses and my bouquet was green hydrangeas with white roses. Other than that I like the different accessories or dress idea.
My my Maid/Matron of Honor I plan to have a larger bouquet with different colors to stand out a little the rest.

We planned to put accessories into the bouquets (I had 2 MOH’s), like pearl picks or cream spray roses. But when we were making the bouquets the night before it got a little confused and they all had matching bouquets. It didn’t matter in the end, it seemed pretty obvious who they were.

I had the same issue, and I ended up having a hair flower made for my Maid/Matron of Honor that complimented mine (sorry for the black and white – mine was white, hers was dark yellow):
Her bouquet was also larger, but it really was barely noticeable.
