I need some ideas for my MOH to stand out a bit more from the rest of my four girls, please. Since we weren’t planning on this idea originally, her dress is exactly the same as the other girls so I can’t do anything about the dress. (They are long, chiffon, royal blue with sweetheart neckline FYI.) I already ordered five sets of bridesmaids jewelry so I’m hoping I don’t have to buy her a different set, but can anyone think of any other way?? The reason we want to have her stand out is because our best man has to be in a tad-bit of a darker suit (Men’s Wearhouse screwed up – AFTER half of the groom’s party purchased their suits, he was told they didn’t make that particular suit big enough for him!!! So we had to improvise and put him in the same suit, but darker color since they made it big enough for him in the darker color… stupid, I know! Why oh why, Ralph Lauren?) Anyway, in an effort to help the best man feel better and to make it look like we WANTED the both of them to stand out a bit, we want to do something to help our MOH look a little different as well. J Thanks for any help anyone can offer!!

Is there any way to add a sash or brooch to her dress? What about making her bouquet a little different?

When I was the MOH for my sister’s wedding, I had a bigger bouquet and hair accessories! Woooo!
I agree that a sash-belt around the waist, or a sash-shawl would be the easiest

A second the sash idea! And/or hair accessories!

Sash, and different bouquet. Maybe different shoes too, if they will show under the dress?

@alicroo86: can you get a broach to put on her dress? I did that for my MOH. Or get flowers that are a little different.

+1 on the sash. There’s also the option of styling her hair differently and maybe adding some different colors to her bouquet.

Shoes, Bouquet, Hair, Brooch on the dress…there are a lot of simple things that you can do.
My MOH is going to be wearing a different dress. I know you said you can’t do this since the dresses have already been purchased. We went this route because she’s a much different size/body style than the rest of the girls.
When I was the MOH in her wedding, we all wore the same dresses, but my bouquet had more flowers, and I had flowers in my hair where the other girls didnt.
Good Luck! And I’m sure it will be fabulous!

@alicroo86: Not sure if you’ll be able to see her shoes, but if you can, maybe have them in one of your other wedding colors, especially something that pops since the dress is more neutral. (this is what I’m doing- my colors are navy and orange, dresses in navy, bridesmaids will wear neutral shoes but MOH will wear orange shoes!)
Also she could have a bigger bouquet (smaller than yours but bigger than theirs). Or maybe a large hair accessory the other girls don’t have? (even a real flower matching your BM bouquet flowers or wedding colors could be really pretty!)
