What other colors are in your wedding? I’d add some fun colorful accessories, maybe vary from girl to girl so it fits their personality and is something they’ll definitely wear again.  I think with flowers and jewelry though it’d look really pretty!

It is simple–but it’s better to err on the side of simplicity versus excessiveness. What about some cool jewelry and shoes? I think once someone is all glammed up, no matter how “plain” their outfit is, they’re dressed up!

I should add that i LIKE simple and elegant no-frills dresses for the most part, though.

I think they’re lovely.  Trust your instinct.  You’re the one that sees the bigger picture.  BMs that want to spice it up with accessories will do so.  So long as you allow them to do that if they would like to, you’ll be fine.  No worries about the comments.  People made remarks about my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses too.  On the day of, everyone saw all the ladies together and finally understood my vision.

I agree about some cute shoes and jewelry. Do you have an accent color?

I am going to choose other.  Maybe offer a choice of dresses in that fabric.  IMHO I wouldn’t want to rewear that dress because I do find it a bit boring.  If you love the simplicity/quality of j.crew dresses, maybe offer your maids the opportunity to get a different dress in the same color/cut.  Otherwise I like the shoes/accessories angle.

Where do you live? If it’ll be cool enough to wear, a cardigan or pashmina could brighten up the dress too if you don’t want to get anything too out there with jewelry and shoes.

crystal broaches either placed on the v neck…..the waist band or two on the straps would add some bling.  I love the dress though.

What about something like this? Or a sash?

I would let each girl add her own bling if she wants it. A silk sash in a contrasting color would be lovely, but I think they’ll all find that with jewelry and shoes they will look great.

Sash, belt, brooch, pinned flowers, jewelry can “spice” the dres up.  I think it’s a gorgeous dress and very slimming for everyone!  I think it’s a great dress, don’t change it!
