Oh no! I’m so sorry this happened to you! It may not be gone though, theres a chance it is still in the pipe. You could always call a plumber to come in and see if he can “look” in the pipes for it. You never know, right?

There is a very high likelihood that the ring is just stuck in the trap of the pipes. Have you asked the apartment people if there is an easy way to access the plumbing under the floor?

There should be a p-trap on the drain that will catch stuff like that. I’m pretty sure its code to have one.

I watch alot of Holmes on Homes… lol

@beautymyth:  Oh… πŸ™ I’m sorry I wasn’t much help then. Do you have access to a flexible grabber tool? Maybe you can get it out with that?

@beautymyth:  Sorry love  πŸ™  I think you just have to be honest and tell him everything.  You should make sure he knows that he doesn’t need to buy you a new one right away (or ever?  go in on one when you can afford it?), you love him way more than a ring can symbolize, and that you’re so so sorry for being careless.

A plumber couldn’t be THAT much.  Even if the tub has been used a bunch, it would take a lot to wash the ring out of the trap area.  I think it’d still be worth it to get one to come over.

I did the same thing. I honestly spent 7 hours trying to get it out. When my fiance came home and saw me crying he laughed….it was in the stupid pdit trap. Wait til he comes home….dont use the tub just incase….boys are better with pipes. i bet you its still there. rings are heavy…its reaalllly hard to push the ring passed the trap.

Tell your Fiance. He can probably get it out. Not all hope is lost!
