Hey gals, Im a newbie and in desperate need of help. I am wearing a san patrick dress for my May wedding. I have no idea what to wear for hair, accessories or veil. Although I am a size 4 I have a very round face and tight pulled back makes me look like the moon. I cant wear my hair down either… my mom and Mother-In-Law would kill me. Any ideas, pics?
I am attaching a blurred picture(just in case anyones is a psycho) so you get a feel for my beach ball face, lol. Also my dress. Help!!!

I actually like the model’s hairstyle. It’s pulled back but it has some height on the top which will actually elongate your face.

I have a wide (square) face so I think my problems are similar to yours. My instinct is to make sure you have bangs (e.g. side-swept) and/or wisps around the side of your face. I do agree that completely pulled-back may not be a great idea. check out some gallery photos of celebs with round faces. There are plenty of options. It’s actually a great face shape!

First off, your dress is absolutely gorgeous!! Secondly, you definitely do not have a beach ball face. What about wearing it half up? Or just pull the front “bang” area back and leave the rest down. That way it’s sort of a compromise between down and up for your mom and Future Mother-In-Law.

I don’t think your face is round at all! I vote for half-up half-down.

I agree with Fro Yo, half up, with some chin length pieces in the front. In My Humble Opinion, as a hair stylist, the ultimate goal is to make everyone look like they have an oval face and I think that would do the trick for you.

What about the low, loose side bun look? I am not a fan of my hair being pulled back tight, but that’s because I like my big Irish/German fro to compliment my large hips and chest. I think I look heavier with my hair back. I think that you need to have something back, otherwise it’ll be in your face all day. I agree with either a bit of bangs or looseness around the face for shape, but then most of it pulled back. So, halvies from me too?

I like half up half down or similar to the models but a loose version with a side messy bun would look great!

Guys thank you so much, I love that I can get help from gals going through the same craziness. Other people don’t really get it.
Im gonna talk to my hairdresser about trying some halfsies and low buns for trials and see how it goes. Ill post pics.
What do you guys think for accessories?
