I have looked everywhere for invite wordings that have both parents names in it but I want our names to appear first then theres. I also dont want it to say anything like “son of” or “daughter of” Why is this so hard to find!! Please let me know some ideas if you have any. I have googled this but cant find anything like it!

Why not take out the “daughter of/son of” and just leave your names, and then after your names, put “and their parents, [parents’ names].”
Maybe like:
Please join us
YOUR NAME
and
HIS NAME
together with their parents
PARENTS’ NAMES

for our invites we did this (both my parents are divorced and remarried)
Because you have shared in our lives with your friendship and love, we
your name
and
his name
along with their families invite you to celebrate in their marriage
then listed the rest of the information.
Looked really good when we were done!

Hi, our invites are worded like this:
Jane Doe
&
John Smith
together with their parents:
Mr. & Mrs. Doug Doe
and
Ms. Amy Smith
Invite you to share in love and joy as best friends become husband and wife
We are a tad less formal than others, but just an idea! We wanted our parents listed on the invitation, not just as “with families”.
This is what ours look like with the wording: *please disregard my horrible blacking out skills!

@chkygal02: We did that almost exact wording for our destination wedding invites but for our family ceremony here we wanted to include our parents names but i’m having a super hard time finding out how to word it! It would be alot easier if is was just our names!!

@sweetchiquita12: Its creeping up fast! May I ask how early you are sending out your invitations? I have mine all ready to go in envelopes, but I didn’t want to send them when everyone was mailing Christmas cards out and it get lost. I see people online say 2 months, I think thats a tad too short of notice myself!

@KKG: Well we are having a destination wedding so the invites will go out to the people we already now are coming to the wedding. I plan to send ours out by February because we already know the numbers but for you I suggest Janaury so that you can give people ample notice.

@sweetchiquita12: I LOVE destination weddings, the ones I’ve attended have been nothing but amazing. Thanks for the suggestions! I think I’ll send them out early January 🙂
