(Closed) how do I word this without sounding rude

If you decide to have an adults-only reception, that’s totally fine and it’s your decision. I just think under no circumstances should you ask guests to pay for their own children to come. There’s no polite way to word that.

@missmarchmommy: For us, on our RSVP my Darling Husband and I put “___ seats have been invited for ______” and filled in the numbers. SO for a family of 5 with 3 children, we put “2 seats have been reserved for John and Jane Smith”. And at the bottom put a place where they write down who in the household is RSVPing yes.

Also, we included a note that said  ‘Because of the sacred nature of the ceremony and seeing how the reception will last late into the evening, Please make arraingments for your children”
