For us, we can’t make it work- our only option right now is that the spouse making less money stays home (right now it’s me although that may change in the future). Even with both of us working right now it’s just not possible to afford it, plus hubby really wants one of us home. My plan is to change my work to part time so I can work when hubby is home and we can switch off during the week.

@BookGirrl: SO not braggy at all. As a mom with a 1yr, I understand. We used to do the same thing.LOL(Minus $10 mandarin oranges,lol, but I went to the spa once a month.LOL) Couples with out kids have that luxuary and you deserve it. Hell, I enjoyed my time living like that before we decided to TTC. That’s why I waited until I was 29. 🙂

I don’t have any kids but I often wonder how people afford it too. When we do have kids the ultimate goal is for me to be a Stay-At-Home Mom. For us it is an option thankfully but I feel for those who don’t have that option. =/ It is expensive.
