my fiance and I had a funny moment tonight. I learned that he did not know that favors are provided to wedding guests; and when I asked him what he thought the choclates were at the table of previous weddings, he said that he thought the reception venue provided them….obviously!
He wants to know if there others out there that believe this as well.

my family is italian and we call them bonbonerie and my husband was clueless to the point of them or where they come from other than if they are edible hes happy

Mine knows about them, and had input on what to do. No flower seed bookmarks for me! He said either letter openers or cocoa, to appeal to both genders. 🙂

My husband knew all about them… and he made ours! I bought cotton tote bags online, and he screenprinted tree on them.
The first one is how they were presented to the guests, tied with twine and sitting on the table like a tree. Guests were surprised when they opened them to find a favor!

Those bags are beautiful! My fiance was adamantly against favors-the line “we are not a children’s birthday party” was said several times. What didn’t help was my mother suggesting embossed shot glasses. “We are not a fraternity function” followed those. Our compromise? Colored paper/bamboo fans, maybe with our names and the date. We are getting married in central WA in July (hot), so we liked the idea that they would help keep our guests cool

My Fiance knows all about favors. I think he is more excited about our candy buffet than I am. His motto is if it’s not edible, he’s not taking it home…LOL

Mine does, in fact he is the one who sugguested them. We are doing personalized golf tees. LOL Then again he is a golfer so whatever is left over he will use for golfing.

I didn’t tell my Fiance about ours. He requested I leave him out of details he wouldn’t care about, and that definitely qualifies. 🙂 I did a test run though (choc covered pretzels) and he totally turned up his nose at them saying he hates those. Then like 3 days later he gets hungry for chocolate and tries one of the last 2 left and was like woah those are actually really good. lol boys.

Fiance knows all about favors. We’ve been involved in a number of weddings in the last few years so he’s seen them done (and not done) before.
We’re giving our guests orchard mini apple pies to go along with our fall theme. We’re both really excited about our favors and we think everyone will really enjoy them. We don’t anticipate having anyone leave them behind but if they do, we’ll be happy to eat them.

Fiance knows about favors BUT its ONLY bc of our babyshower & daughters 1st bday. He actually got really into the favors for our daughters bday last year he even picked them out! They were chocolates with her face on them! He doesnt really care about the favors for the wedding.
