@HisMoon:  flagged it for you. we only had 2 people to tip and that was our DJ and the photographers. we put the tip money in envelopes and handed each their envelopes at the end of night. you can also have someone be in charge of this such as your Maid/Matron of Honor or Bridesmaid or Best Man or even a parent.

I think you should delegate this task to someone else so you don’t have to worry about it, but I say an envelope is usally a good way to go.

We put the tip money in envelopes with a Thank You card. We had the best man give out the ones to the DJ and Photographer. Our venue manager gave the envelope to the florist since none of us would see her when she delivered the flowers.  I personally gave the card with a little gift to our catering manager and our officiant the day before after the rehearsal lunch.

“Here, this is for you.” hand folded money.  I don’t think we really thought much about it except Darling Husband was the keeper of the money because I didn’t have pockets!  (Tomboy here, not having my pocket stuff makes me feel naked.)

We put ours in a card/envelope and our DOC handed them out for us so we didn’t have to worry about it.

Usually the best man is in charge of the tipping.  He hands the envelopes out and should do it at the beginning of the night before the reception starts,  before he is drunk or forgets.  Plus, it makes sense to tip before they perform, so they might do a better job.

@Pink Asawa:  +1

I gave the tip for my MUA/stylist directly in an envelope but for everyone else, I gave it to the DOC to deal with. She stayed after we did to make sure everything is packed up and all the vendors were okay so she was in a better position than me to hunt down the DJ/Catering Captain/etc.

@HisMoon: We had a number of final payments due at the wedding, so we prepared a thank you note for each vendor with a check (balance due) and cash (tip) inside.  My uncle was in charge of handing them out during the reception.  I paid the vendors, like the MUA, who came to the hotel room where I was getting ready.

@HisMoon:  definitely! Concentrate on having fun. you won’t want to worry about those details.
