Hello everyone! I was wondering how you all went about ensuring that you had some pictures of you after the wedding (not from your photo since that takes awhile) from your guests? Did you create a Shutterfly account or ask them to email them to you or what? I don’t know how many guests will actually have a camera on hand…but I’d like to ensure that we get to see some! For all the weddings I go to that I take pictures, I burn the couple a CD and mail it to them and they’ve always told me how much they appreciate having pictures right after the wedding. Thanks!

I would consider how familiar your guests are with the various technologies. I’ve seen people ask for them to be put on Shutterfly via a note in the program or cards to take. Personally, I’d prefer that as a way of receiving them, but I don’t think most of my guests use those services, so I’m going to ask for them be emailed to me.

I’m probably going to make up little cards — Moo cards or something through Vista Print — and either include them with the favors, at the tables or as part of the ceremony programs giving guests instuctions on where to go online and how to share their pictures!

Oooo good idea! I guess I could include them as an insert in our programs. I think most of our younger friends will be the ones taking pictures. I doubt my FI’s cousins’ cousins’ aunts will be that big on having pictures of us anyways….hmmm. I guess I could include the option to email us, also.
Does this go over well? Do you get lots of responses?
I guess I could print my own business cards, too! Yay work printer….=]

I made "Photo Sharing Cards" on Vista Print. I uploaded our Monogram to put on them so they matched the rest of our stationary. I got a ton of pictures from friends and family. It worked out really well!
There are pictures of my Photo Sharing cards on my bio – HERE.
HOpe this helps!

Thanks! I purchased the freebie ones for $5.67 for 250 and plan on placing them at everyone’s seat with the bells I bought months ago. I included my personal email address for our guests who didn’t want to sign up for shutterfly. AFter all, i get a new email address when i get married! They turned out so cute, too! I hope our family and friends are web savvy and do this for us!
We’re doing thank you cards like this, too! And I wanted to make sure we had a variety to choose from so we can do a collage =]
MrsK2be, those are gorgeous! I love the ballroom!

I did the Flickr thing, but for me it was a big ole flop. One out of my 200 guests actually uploaded to the site. I also sent the cards again inside my thank you cards, but still it didn’t work. Shoot, I even e-mailed people with the link. They were all like "Great photos," but not of them actually uploaded…pretty frustrating! There were two other people I tracked photos down and uploaded myself, but that was it.

oh no! i’m afraid that will happen. Since i will have 250 of these cards, I do plan on including them with my thank you cards as leftoveres for the people that i think have pictures. Maybe this will encourage ppl to take pictures so they can upload. Grrr. I have a friend coming (i took a bajillion pics for her at her wedding and sent her a HUGE CD) so i’m hoping she returns the favor =]
