I sent the ring appraisal to the insurance agent. And, we have the diamond certificate in our safety deposit box.

He told me, but you can also get it appraised at your local jewelry store to find out if you don’t want to ask. Wink

I don’t for sure except to compare it to pictures of carat sizes online.

But, you really should have it appraised for insurance purposes (incase you lose it, too!), so you’ll know then for sure. It’s super hard to just eye the size and guess the carat because of different types of cuts and settings.

I picked it out and asked for Fi’s card… lol No I had it down to 3 rings that I liked and Fi picked the final one!

@Eva Peron: Yes getting it insured is a very good idea.  I have mine insured through my homeowners insurance and they will pay to replace it if it is lost, stolen, or damaged.
