krittykay :  my husband got my engagement ring box at michaels craft store of all places! Idk how he thought to look there but it’s just a small black traditional kind with the hinges in the back.

sweetteawifey :  Hi, would you be able to post a link or even a photo of your necklace? Sounds like something I could use!!

If you’re newly engaged, you might want to take a look at the emilyc ring holder necklace. Too pricey for me, but I think they’re really pretty and a safer alternative than other solutions.

The only time I take mine off in public is for a manicure, but only briefly for a hand and arm massage. Then it goes right back on. There is a dedicated ring bowl on the table. Otherwise, never.

I have a little zipper bag that hangs on my keys. 90 % of the time it carries my silicone wedding ring stand in for the gym, yoga, and when I am with my horse. When I swap rings, I put my engagement ring in the bag, put it in my glovebox, lock my glovebox, and lock my car. I see women working out or riding their horses with their diamonds on, but I worry that I would lose a stone and never be able to find it again. I am so sentimental that would break my heart.

I never take them off when washing my hands in public. I have also gotten good about applying lotion around my rings when out and about. When I am at the nail salon I place them on the table for the few minutes that they massage my hands. Otherwise they are always on. If I did have to take them off I would put them in the zippered secrete pocket of my purse.

minimalistbeex :  I never take my rings off In public unless they are being cleaned at a jewellery store. If I did I probably just put them on my necklace

If I take off my ring in public it goes on this emilyc ring holder necklace. It’s super handy and looks very nice.

I never take my rings off to do the stuff you have listed. If for some reason I do take them off I put them in the zippered pocket of my wallet but this is very rare.

This may be a dumb question, but are you supposed to take your rings off to wash your hands? Does soap damage certain stones? I just assumed that whatever bacteria was on my hands was also on my rings, so I want them washed too.

tee91 : I don’t think my link is attaching right 🙁 But I found it on etsy, it’s listed under silver wishbone necklace ring holder, and its from the seller SaraAndJane! I very highly recommend it, and I believe it also comes in yellow gold 🙂

I never take mine off unless I’m home. I clean mine when I get home and that takes off the build up of soap from handwashing/gelling.

I wash my hands with my rings. Then, slip them up slightly to dry beneath. If I have to take off my rings, I zip them into a headphone earbud case that fits in my tiny purse. It has a cariber that I can attach to a look inside my bag (to close the internal pocket).

I’m a nurse, so it is in my nature to take my ring off when I am washing my hands or applying moisturiser. When I first got engaged, I may have left my ring on the sink where I had washed my hands at work… and another time or two after that. I am proud to say it has been at least three months since I have left it anywhere since taking it off haha!

I don’t get manicures, so can’t comment.
