I matched my bouquet to the dominant color in my wedding and since I was really boring with color that meant ivory. Since my centerpieces were ivory and a lot of other details of the day were also ivory that’s what I went with. I know I could’ve stood out with something brighter but I loved the muted look of the ivory and the fact that everything blended well. So for me it was blend factor and that’s why I chose to match my bouquet to the dominant color in my color scheme. (The accent colors were navy with a little bit of black.)

I don’t think there’s a “rule”.  You could choose shades of ivory/white.  Have all blue. Or ivory with a little blue.  Or choose you could choose an accent colour. I’d start with looking at flowers you like and then go from there.

my dress was off-white and everyone else was in black.  my shoes were fuschia so that was my accent colour and the colour of my flowers.

you can choose any colour flowers to go with your colours.  what colour blue are you having?  there are a lot of possibilities.

I didn’t want to match the bouquet colors to the bridesmaids dresses.  I want them to pop out more.  My girls are wearing sapphire and their bouquet colors are pinks, purples, and green.  Plus I don’t like the look of “blue” flowers.  That’s not a color I like for a flower.

My bridesmaids dresses were dark purple for my wedding two weeks ago. Since dark shades aren’t typical for summer weddings I decided to use dark purple flowers but to brighten them up with orange and fuschia and they turned out amazing. I think based on your colors a bouquet in ivory, turquoise, and bright pink and orange would be beautful. CHIC FLOWER DECOR BOUQUET VASE PINK ORANGE TURQUOISE

@traceywhite1962:  No problem. Seriously, the bright flowers really popped in my wedding. Here are a few shots from my recap post.
