Hahaha, I’m loving this topic.

I would love to run and pee afterwards, but by the time I even sit up it’s like GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO all over the place.  So I have to quickly roll sideways and beg for a towel or try and find some random laundry off the floor and then hold it in place and run to the bathroom ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haha, you guys crack me up ๐Ÿ˜€

I second the ‘pee’ right after suggestion! Well, wipe first of course and then go pee right away. The kegels sound interesting. I will try that next time. (Though now we are using condoms since we are not TTCing and I am not on BC.) But awesome thread for future reference! We all need to know this! And the best advice we can get is obviously from each other!

@Lillindy: I was just thinking this same thing! I really think this is the very first time this topic has come up.

I go to the bathroom also.  Like everyone else  I pee then wipe. If its really messy I hop in the shower or use a wash rag.

Sensitive skin unscented baby wipes. Love them.

ETA: For those who mentioned tampons and/or pads…be careful, as they hold the moisture in and prevent that area from “breathing.” This can lead to yeast infections. I learned this the hard way after have lots of, er, “playtime” during the first week of our honeymoon, and then spending the second week in yeast infection agony (none of the products I got from the pharmacy in Paris worked).

Ok, so this topic totally make me feel like such a prude…or a novice.  I’ve been with my husband for over 6 years…and sexually active almost the entire time.  But I was never on birth control regularly until now.  So we’ve always used condoms.  I definitely always thought that condoms were the big pain and hassle to clean up after.  I thought, oh man, now that I am on birth control…we can just roll over and go to sleep!

I’m an idiot.

As others have said, don’t douche!  It’s bad for the balance of yeast and bacteria in your body.  Afterward, I always go to the bathroom and I’ve heard that doing kegels over the toilet for a few minutes gets everything out.

Washcloth to protect the bed.  Panty liner to sleep in after external cleanup.  Best way though is to run about 3 inches of water in the tub for a 5 minute soak of the lady parts.  Almost as good as douching (don’t do it- bad for you) and has the advantage of cleaning feet and thighs freshly. Feels good before bedtime.  Would have loved a bidet some years ago.  Nice to feel fresh.

Hahah okay so.. Fiance and I got tired of the dreaded wet spot on the bed, so he actually carries me to the bathroom after sex before he pulls out. Then he dumps me off on the toilet so I can pee and get all the gross stuff out, while he hops in the shower.

I know PPs said it, but omg please pee and clean up after yourself. It took me a few nasty UTIs to take that advice, don’t be dumb like me! Haha… Now I always, always pee and wash up after!

PS. This thread is HILARIOUS!

OK, this thread is hilarious and I think it is pretty funny that this is ONE topic we all agree on. Like almost everyone else it seems, I go pee afterwards. And I try to leave the wet spot on his side. ๐Ÿ™‚

@tobin: Haha, we keep toilet paper by our bed for this specific reason. Because otherwise it is going on his clothes– definitely not mine!

ETA: Very rarely do FH and I get wet spots on the bed… And to answer the question, I pee after too.
