i wash with dove on all my outside-parts. Some warm water up on the inside after aunt flo comes to visit, gotta keep it fresh!
I use the fem. deoderant as well, to keep things smellin fresh, just in case. I’ve never smelled anything off but I’ve known girls that have issues and get scared by the idea that I’d be THAT girl…..

@Mrs Sarah McK: There’s so much win in your last two statements.

I was very prone to yeast infections and it turned out it was a sensitivity to soap, any kind of soap, so my doctor recommended I start using cetaphil face wash down there. I buy the generic Target version so it isn’t ridiculously expensive and I haven’t had a yeast infection since then. Probably Too Much Information but I used to use just hot water, or a mild soap but never failed if I paid too much attention to it I’d get a yeast infection. Now I can scrub and clean as much as I want and no infection, no irritation, no problems.

being a mom myself, i have a 2-step program, lmao
in the shower, i use my loofa and regular body wash, and i wash pretty high up, but obviously i don’t go scrubbing up “there”…in the bath, you pretty much are in a tub, and although i LOVE my huge tub, and i love baths let’s face it. you ARE sitting in dirty water pretty much.
so, after either a shower or a bath, i use my sons baby wipes, to REALLY get clean…i mean, if it works for a baby, it’s got to be ok as an adult right? lol…i’ve never had an issue with smell, except for my monthly, and then i just go buck wild on the wipies lol…
as for douching, my nawnie dries out BAD when i use them. whether it’s a mild theme, or medicated. and it STAYS dry, LONG after, even if fh tries to get somethin started…
my gyn says what i do is fine. i use the huggies sensitive wipes with the cocoa butter scent…

*SMH*…*Forehead*…now, why didn’t I think of that??? i hear you don’t even have to spray it off with water 😉

I use DIAL which is antibacterial soap (only on that area) and whatever temperature the water is in my shower. haha I have “that area” soap and then I use a body wash for everything else.
The antibacteria soap prevents the growth of bacteria that causes odor and it keeps you fresh, it’s quite awesome.

i haven’t read the whole thread…i used to soap up everything for the sake of being “clean”, because that area “gets dirty” (bodywash…i generally use something different every time i run out lol). i would be itchy, which i thought was gross, i must be dirty, and i’d wash more thoroughly with soap, and i’d still be itchy, etc. (not talking up the vag, obviously, like previously stated, that’s self-cleaning…just in all the folds, as it were.)
then i had the thought…soaping in between the folds might be a bit like soaping inside your mouth, lol.
so i ran an experiement about a month ago where i still soap up on the outside outside (you know, where you actually have sweat and oil glands and such), and then just rinse thoroughly in the folds/deeper undercarriage with warm water (whatever temperature my shower is…i have a removable shower head). lo and behold, no more itch.
so i’m in the “soap on the outside, warm rinse on the inside” camp.

I’m a poof and body wash gal. Nothing extreme, just lather and rinse at the end of my shower. If I shave, I use a tiny bit of my face wash to be sure the pores are clean so I don’t get in grown hairs. I also have a habit of after I shower, I pee so that any soap that may be left up there, gets moved out.
I’m a huge fan of moist wipes, I but usally the Scott ones and I use them daily. I also usually wear a pantiline so that helps elminate any other odor that may come up.
Isn’t being female fun?

i am a fanatic/borderline OCD about keeping my vagina and butthole clean. i always have a package of those “feminine wipes” from playtex in my purse for when i take a crap or even when i pee i use them. and they are great for when i’m on my period and changing tampons.
as for the shower, i use the summer’s eve feminine wash (not the douche just the liquid soap). i’ve also used my regular dove cucumber scented soap down there if i run out of the eve stuff. and after every shower i use baby powder down there too. i just give the bottle a couple of big poofs all over and it feels really fresh and clean and dry. south florida is a bitch to stay dry and fresh in, so baby powder is my secret weapon.
if i don’t feel fresh down there, i get cranky. i dunno why.

in fact, earlier my husband decided we should go to dinner and he just started getting dressed and i knew i didn’t have time for a full shower so i said, ‘hold on i just need to wash my vagina’. lol he laughs at me, this is a regular thing for me..”washing my vagina real quick”. it’s as good as a shower as far as i’m concerned, because it’s the most important parts to wash when you’re in there along with armpits.

I use the summers eve wash…and the only reason I use it is because I am very “anal” about being clean down there and normal soap always burned me and caused irritation. My doctor told me to check it out and I’ve never looked back!

I know this is a bit strange, but I like using a baby wipe during the day after using the bathroom if I know things might need to be ‘top notch’ later in the night. Then I like to sprinkle a bit of baby powder in my panties to keep things fresh. But pp say it’s bad to use too much because it might clump so be careful (especially in humid weather), but I just think it adds a fresher, overall feeling.
And yes, I know it’s weird to smell like a baby.
