I don’t have them but my parents do. They sweep them first, and then they use this spray my mom gets at BBB (don’t remember the name but it says right on it that it is for cleaning wood floors). She sprays it on the floor the wipes it up with this tool that is like a long flat cloth swiffer thing.

We use our Oreck vacuum first then mop with murphy’s oil soap. It works pretty well. Then I go through with our hand held vacuum and make sure we didn’t miss any nooks and crannies, esp since we live in a very old building.

We use the same stuff that CorgiTales mentioned, I think its orange scented??  DH actually bought it and takes care of that.  But you spray it on and then mop it up with a cloth.  For daily (okay, more like weekly) maintenance we have a canister vacuum that works great on the floor setting.

Swiffer WetJet has a cleaning solution for wood floors, if you’re into Swiffer. 🙂

I use a shark steam cleaner mop thing, we have pets so our floors get done about every other day and it works awesome!

Try Murphy Oil or Pledge.  They will look so shiney.

It depends on what you say by wood floors, solid wood wood floors or bruce wood floors?

a ton of people in new construction homes think they have wood floors when they really have these bruce wood floors, and they arent wood at all and you cant use any water product on them at all, they’ll buckle and ripple and ruin within a year.

I have the latter and I only use the bruce wood cleaner on them. The previous home I lived in had real wood floors and we would mop them with mop and glo.

I have hardwoods and first sweep them good and then use the murphys oil soap. Just spray it in sections on the floor as you go and use a regular mop and it gets them nice and shiney.

I dust mop, then use a spray bottle of wood floor cleaner sprayed directly onto the floors and wiped around with a second, clean dust mop. Super quick and does the job!

We use this Shark steam mom we got for our wedding.  It worked great to clean our floors.  We swept, used a swiffer dry mop (to get the dust and stuff), and then used the steam mop.  It put the shine back in and got rid of any water spots, etc.

First we vacuum, then we use the Bissell steam mop.  Works great!
