Something happened today that made me LIVID. I hate it, but whenever I’m angry, I cry. It’s ridiculous. Then, I stomp around really fast and talk to myself about how angry I am. Then I sit down and “feel” the anger in my veins and sit very still and finally calm down a bit.
How do you deal with anger? Any advice to manage it a little more maturely? Haha.

I don’t know what to tell you. But I cry when people are not logical. I just get so frustrated!
For you, maybe try going for a really fast angry walk. That always seems to help. Fresh air and getting out of the situation always calm me down.

LOL…your post made me think of that scene in Wedding Crashers when Gloria closes her ears, holds her breath and stomps.
I have to walk away from the situation. If I don’t, I lash out. It’s something I’m definitely trying to get better at, but lashing out is the way my mom reacts whenever she’s angry, so I try to do my best to calm down. If I can, I’ll go for a run…that usually calms me down.

ugh I am totally keeping an eye on this post,I have been having a hard time dealing with any slight anger/annoyance lately, and it ususally results in me lashing out briefly at Darling Husband, and I wish I knew a better way to handle it…
What used to work with me,and sometimes still helps(although not as much or as often) is coming home, have a rant to myself, then put some heavily bass-ed music(usually something dancy/club style) on and turn it up real loud, till I cant hear myself think. It lets all my steam out!!

As 3 year oldish as it sounds, I do literally count to 10. My temper normally is really angry and intense, but I calm down quickly, so that really helps me not do anything really hurtful or impulsive when I’m angry.

Ohhh I’m an angry crier too. I had to warn the bridal shop, that if something happened, I don’t cry when I’m happy, I cry when I’m mad. So they had fair heads up.
I’m sorry this happened, it happened today with me at work too.
