I’ve seen a lot of interesting things up on Pinterest, some of them being a Chore jar where the children pick a chore out of a jar and do it.  Someone else handmade chore dice where you can either make chores listed on dice so they roll the chore or write down chores on a paper and the roll of a normal dice tells them the chore they need to do.

Definitely agree about the chore list!! And get them started early!! Here’s my friend’s 2 year old doing laundry – if she can do it, anyone can!! 🙂

I’d kind of like to resurrect this thread. But I think what the OP meant was not how to delegate chores to kids but more how do you and your spouse get all the regular housework done in addition to all you’re taking on with a new baby. I often wonder how much my regular stuff will suffer when I have an infant who needs near-constant attention.

Personally, our housework is about 50/50 already . . . with my husband’s chores including all of the exterior stuff/yardwork . . . so I assume we’ll each keep the same tasks and just try to get them done as best we can. We’re expecting to fall behind the pretty rigorous schedule we keep now.
