I think slide shows are kind of dated at this point, but if it’s important to you, go for it. I’m trying to imagine why this song wouldn’t be appropriate to play while your guests are seated before the ceremony, which I also think is the best time for a slide show if you must have one, but I guess you have your reasons.

To be totally honest…. Not my cup of tea, but I certainly wouldn’t be annoyed or upset. There are far worse things…. Like an hour long ceremony or a twelve minute speech about you childhood dog that died years earlier 😉 I bet the guests that know bothof you for extended time might enjoy it.

We played a slideshow at our reception which was in a restaurant. Everyone cried. It was a beautiful moment. We used “Everytime we Touch” by Cascada as the music, it was perfect. I highly recommend it, if the Audio Visual equipment is there, why not use it, right? Where is the ceremony? Obviously not outside or in a church?

One other concern: So what are you and Fiance going to be doing during the extra 3.5 minutes this song is playing? Just standing at the altar staring at each other?

I’m going to say no on the sideshow.

Why can’t you just loop the slideshow to music while people are being seated for the ceremony? It’s pretty awkward to have it during the ceremony.

You could still do it at the reception, rather than at the ceremony…? While people are eating, before the speeches. Well, that’s when we did it and it worked perfectly. Mind you, we got married 2 weeks before our reception and kept our photos secret (not on Facebook etc) and so our guests were the first to see them on a big screen. If there are funny photos on there and a few group photos of some of your guests, it could be really fun and make people laugh while they’re eating..? Otherwise, maybe play the song as you walk back down the aisle / confetti throw?

A friend of mine played hers just before the processional started and that was nice.
