Never had one, not scared, but just don’t want one.  Same with eyebrow waxing.

Never gotten one and don’t plan to.  I would get my bikini line waxed, but not the actual bikini area.

I’ve only ever gotten a brazilian once(never just a bikini) & was not pleased with the results. My skin reacted badly to it & it wasn’t the “finish” I was expecting since hair grows in different cycles so some were to short to catch. It wasn’t really worth it for me

I do at home bikini waxes, but that’s the extent that I go to.  I’m not scared, I just don’t feel like paying $60 for a stranger to do what I can do a passable job of for $8.

I just got my first one a week and a half ago. I was not pleased with the results, but I’m blaming it on it being my first one and a the waxer not being aware of some super blonde hairs. I thought the pain was bearable. My Fiance loves the results even though the wax left some stubble so I plan on going for one more with a different waxer at the same salon. Then I’ll decided if its worth keeping up. Its nice not having to shave though.

    I’d rather just shave…

I have never gotten one, and don’t think that I ever will. I would be too embarassed, I guess. And I am a chicken about the pain.

It’s good to keep in mind that the first one is generally the most painful and has the worst reaction. I do a basic bikini at home regularly and it gets easier and easier so long as you keep up with it. I live in a fairly rural area so finding a place to do them is pretty difficult.

I wax my own eyebrows, lip and sideburns (lip is the biggest owwie and I always have to psych myself up to be able to rip the damn strip off) and on occassion get them professionally done…

But I’ve never done the bikini…definitely would consider it, and maybe I’ll treat myself to legs/bikini for my cruise this summer so I don’t need to worry about shaving in the small showers…

I get brazilians when I am going on vacation or in the summer, but the pain is too much for me. Especially when they come at me with the tweezers, OUCH!!!!! I know they say if you keep doing them, they hurt less, but between the pain factor and the cost factor, I don’t keep them up. I usually just shave instead.

For those of you who wax yourselves, do you go to Brazil (haha) or just tidy things up? What brand do you use? I have always been too scared to wax myself.

I’ve been getting brazilians every 5 weeks for years now. I’m thinking about switching to doing it at home.

I started for my wedding (bikini, legs, and underarm) and I am a convert. It’s really something that you should either commit to doing and maintaining or not do at all unless you’re going to go all natural in between because shaving will mean you have to wait that 4-6 weeks for it ALL to grow back in before you can do it again. I’m rearranging my pampering budget to make regular waxings happen now. My haircuts will have to be less frequent and I’ve cut the quality of my shampoo and conditioner. There will also be far fewer manis and pedis. I might go Brazilian next time.
