@KeeganWynne:  Wow! I LOVE your ring! That’s bad-ass! 🙂 My FH almost got me a pink one, but then decided on the black diamond. I would have been ecstatic with a pink one too. Your ring is gorgeous!

I would only want one for a fashion/stylish/unusual right hand ring, would not pick one as my Ering (because I like more sparkles). I owned a 2ct black diamond solitaire with simple white diamond pave band but later sold it because I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

I like them a lot and I chose a sky blue topaz to match DH’s eyes for my ring.  I used to love black onyx so in seeing a lot of the black diamonds on here I’ve really become a fan.  Would love one as a great cocktail ring because I love to wear black and think one with sparkly accents would be awesome!

I personally think the e-ring should be about you as a couple and your personal style. I never wanted a clear center stone, and I dont regret the amazing color changer I have!

I love my black diamond, had to have one! I’ve needed it for a good 10 years lol. I’ve never seen sex in the city. A couple years ago a mutual friend of mine on facebook commented on someone’s black diamond ering and it showed in my news feed. It was a three stone  (which I dont care for) and I about died. I didn’t ant anything else! If Fiance was dead set on not getting one I would of went with a oval diamond.

Mines untreated, and non radiated so it’s fully natural black. Sometimes it looks grey, and sometimes an odd deep blue depending in the light. It’s 2.70 cts.

Here’s its side, sorry for the crappy ipad pictures. It’s aLos got .75 cts of white diamonds along its sides and basket

I actually love colored gemstones as engagement rings, sometimes they wow me WAY more than a diamond would!!  I don’t like black diamonds myself, I think it’s the lack of depth with them, but I’ve seen them set in rings that make them look amazing.

I love them. I can see myself on the surface of my ring and it sparkles nicely.

I wanted a sapphire and couldn’t have been happier. Mine is untreated, and therefore much more expensive than regular sapphire. Dear Fiance had to have jeweler pick it up on international market. Dear Fiance had ring custom made, so what would have been at least 10K, cost “less” (how much, I don’t know. I only saw appraisal form when we had it insured). It was originally a cushion cut, but Dear Fiance had it modified into an ascher (I really wanted an ascher, but none were to be found unless he went considerably bigger).

My ring is beautiful and changes hues under different lights.
