It’s not for me, but I think it can look really beautiful. White mini dresses don’t sound beautiful to me, they sound a little trendy/club wear, but obviously I’d have to see the dresses. I tend to like a little more modest dresses for BMs no matter what color though.

I’d think it was odd if someone wore a PURE WHITE dress to my wedding, and I’d kind of give it a raised eyebrow and thing “That’s a strange choice,” but I wouldn’t be upset or offended. No one is going to be confused who the bride is! It’s just a poor choice.

At my FSILs wedding the BMs were a shimmery white dress w gold accents. It looked very clean and I loved the look.

All my miads wore white—well, it was actually ivory but so was my dress. So of course, I love the look.

I don’t like it when people complain about guests (or bridesmaids) wearing white to a wedding. Everyone knows who the bride is, even if she is not wearing white. I wouldn’t find bridesmaids in white to be unusual unless the bride was also in white (or a similar color). But even then, it’s not a problem; I’d just raise an eyebrow.

Since I am certain everyone can figure out who the bride is regardless of what color she or any guest is wearing, I don’t see an issue.

I think it can look really amazing, but I always worry that all of that white would make it harder to photograph the group. I know nothing about photography though so those fears could be completely unfounded.

I think it looks weird but I wouldn’t judge someone who chose to have their maids in white. Originally bridesmaids were in the wedding to confuse evil spirits who would do harm to the bride, so with that in mind it makes sense to put the bridesmaids in white. I like white on the bridesmaids better when the bride wears a different color.

@BrooklynWife:  I am over here seriously drooling over your first pic! So GORGEOUS!!!!

OP, I was undecided until I saw Brooklyn’s pic. I say go for it, especially if they are mismatched 🙂

Bridesmaids, yes.  Guests, no.

I think it can look beautiful, my friend was just in a wedding where they pretty much wore the “Pippa” dress and they all looked gorgeous. My only hesitation is that in pics of the bridal party I find myself searching for the bride.

@BrooklynWife:  I really like the simple elegant look of your bridal party. Gorgeous monochromatic look.
