Okay for some reason, I find it a bit odd when I see couples wearing matching outfits to events especially if they do it all the time. Am I the only bothered by this? My friend thinks its cute but I think it comes across that they are trying to hard. Its one thing to be wearing the same color scheme and another thing to be out right wearing the exact same black vest, pink tie, white shirt, black pants combo…
How do you feel on this subject?

I think it depends on the couple. If they do it because one or both of them are really high strung I would probably chuckle about it. If they’re doing it because they just really want to match exactly…then well, whatever floats their boat I suppose. It definitely is a bit odd, though!

I hate matching outfits!! Just my opinion but it drives me crazy when I see them. I’m my own person and would never wanna match my Fiance.

It drives me insane, but that is probably because of one particular on again off again couple I know… The girl ALWAYS matches the guy for formal events. There are pictures from him being IN weddings (yes more than one time) and his girlfriend got the same color dresses to match (and she WASN’T in the weddings). I think it’s just weird. But then again that girl is just plain crazy… Sooo..
I like my Fiance and I to look mostly on the same level of dressy-ness but we typically don’t do matching colors or anything.

UH, what the hell? People do that on PURPOSE??? If I tried to dress me and FH in matching outfits, that would be HILARIOUS.
Unless it’s for a sporting event, don’t match. Baddddddddd.

Oh my lord, when I read this, I IMMEDIATELY thought of Josh and Anna Duggar. Yes, I admit it, I’ve watched 17/18/19 Kids and Counting. It bothers the heck out of me to see them always matching! It’s okay to be independent and not match–honest!
Now, to be honest, when we do our engagement photos, we’ll wear colors that go well together, but it won’t be both of us wearing the same colored shirt, pants, and shoes.

Matching identical, or matching coordinated?
The farthest we will ever go is like, his tie matches my dress.

I don’t think I know a couple like this…. how can a couple match EXACTLY? Like literally the exact same outfit? Not always, but sometimes Fiance and I will somewhat coordinate colors for a fancy event like a wedding. Like if he’s wearing a charcoal suit and I’m in a black dress, he’ll wear a teal tie to match my teal wrap or something. But thats about the extent of our matchiness.

This reminds me of my first date with Darling Husband years ago. I got dressed-jeans, a light blue oxford cloth shirt and a camel blazer. Darling Husband knocked on the door and when I opened it, there he stood — wearing jeans, light blue oxford cloth shirt and a camel blazer.
We laughed and went on our way. It’s never happened again

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody do that…
I know one couple where she has a hawaiian print dress that matches a shirt that he owns, and they’ve worn it them to the same party maybe once, but it was Hawaiian themed, and I’m sure they just grabbed the only item they had… very strange.

I think it’s cute but we’re never that organized to do it!

I like it when say the guy’s tie coordinates with the girls blouse/dress but it looks a little odd, IMO, when the couple is super matchy-matchy.

I know a couple that does this. They even get their two children in matching outfits. I have known couples that having matching sweaters or something, but not to their extent. When Darling Husband saw the couple in matching purple -flowered shirts with pink vests his comment was, “You will get me to wear that over my dead body . . ” along with some other things I won’t repeat!
We sometimes do the tie/dress coordination thing, but that is usually because we wear similar colors!

Even matching the colors reminds me of prom.
