I bought a couple of things for my Fiance and I kind of wish that I hadn’t! I suppose they can be fun for foreplay and stuff, but he just wanted it OFF! I seriously wore it for like 30seconds. Now I just get cute bra/panties sets. They’re still cute and I at least get some good use out of them! Some guys are really into that whole thing, mine just isn’t. I guess it just depends on what kind of guy you have ๐Ÿ™‚

I love lingerie. I’ve worked for VS for 3 years, so I have quite a lot of it at this point too. However, I hardly ever wear it. I’m LDR now, so it collects a lot of dust, but I didn’t really wear it that much before either. It’s more of a special occasion thing now.

I’ve never been to a lingerie party, so I can’t say what they’re like.

I have some pieces that I really like. I do wear it around the house once in a while, especially if it’s a “stay home with him all day, have fun” sort of day. From what I’ve seen with my husband/heard from others, guys don’t care as much…they’d like us naked.  It’s fun to have!

I’m guessing because you said you’re both virgins that you’re waiting for the honeymoon? If so, yay, that’s what we did. My husband’s only request in regards to my dress was that I wear it to the hotel so that he could help me out of it. That was fun and sweet.  I obliged and made sure to have cute undergarments so that he was pleasantly surprised. Just a random thing I thought I’d share.

I really like lingerie, as long as it’s still wearable under clothing. I won’t be going out to buy a rhinestone thong anytime soon. Luckily my SO feels the same way; mostly he’d rather see me in a sexy red bra than a baby doll or teddy contraption. Or maybe he just wants me to wear stuff that’s easy to take off. ๐Ÿ˜›

I love lingerie but I would never where it all the time! I dont have many pieces but I have a little corset thingie that my Fiance goes crazy for. He doesnt take it off during sex- he likes me to keep it on. I wish I owned more lingerie but it can be expensive!! I only bring it out every once in a while for 2 reasons….1)its uncomfortable for the most part and id rather be wearing regular bra/underwear or be naked and 2)if I did it all the time Fiance wouldnt appreciate it as much…he likes when I just surprise him with it

I honestly rarely wear any. The hubs just wants to rip off my clothing so it is almost a waste of money for me. He has mentioned numerous times that he really doesn’t care about lingerie.

I wear it every so often and I really like it. I think it kind of depends on your guy though. It really wasn’t that much fun w/ my ex because (as most girls said)… naked was his preference so it was disappointing to only wear the thing for like 30 seconds. My Fiance thought LOVES it. He thinks it creates a little (illusion if nothing else) mystery and thats a good thing. So I end up keeping it on longer w/ him.

re: exchanging it… I doubt that will be too big a problem unless anyone buys you a bra. Most lingerie comes in just s/m/l so it is pretty forgiving.

I think it’s important to find nice, comfortable lingerie that is feminine and beautiful, and not concern yourself with the scratchy, flashy, novelty items that are offered up as “sexy” by some of the lingerie sellers.  For example: luxurious silk nightie edged in soft black lace= ultra sexy and touchable.  Shiny polyester satin babydoll with cheap furry edging= not so much.

I would just take a look at what you currently wear and are comfortable in, and then look for similar versions of those things.  For example, if you wear basic camisoles and underwear, check out some of the silk, lace, or soft cotton sets that are out there.  If boyshorts are your preferred style, don’t try to force yourself into thongs, just because they’re supposed to be “sexy.”

The key is to find fabrics that feel good against your skin (and his!), and focus on the way the items fit your body– you’re never going to feel sexy and womanly with tight straps cutting into your curves, or feel comfortable if you pick something too skimpy that you’re always pulling at to give yourself more coverage.  Pick your lingerie for you, not for him– if it makes you feel confident and gorgeous, he is sure to love it!

Special occassions. I do have a drawerful of it. BUt during the summer I wear nighties ot bed. I guess those are technically lingerie. They’re just comfy. In the winter i’m all about the tanks and pjs.

Italiana…I have been wondering the same thing! My Fiance and I are saving sex for marriage, and my Maid/Matron of Honor just recently asked me if I was buying anything special for the wedding night/honeymoon. I think I blushed and then mumbled something about “I don’t know.” I’ve wondered the same things as you!

I guess it depends on what kind of lingerie we are talking about…the super fancy stuff, or stuff that’s just a little more sexy than normal bra/panties.

My FH loves to see it for the 10 seconds that it’s on (LOL). so it’s fun every now and then, but he seems to appreciate the oversized tshirt as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, I generally don’t wear it. I have some, but there is really very little point to it. I bought a little nighty for Valentine’s Day, but it was on all of 30 seconds. Plus I’m not socomfortable in my own skin sometimes and the stuff hubby likes bares a little more than I’d like to show (like I hate thongs because it’s generally an elastic string thing on the side and it makes my love handles pop out like gross, though the ones with the lace bands aren’t bad). I’d rather just be naked at that point. And he prefers that too lol
