@LadyEvar:  I’ve always wanted to do eyelash tinting! I have naturally lighter hair so my eyelashes are barely a light brown….Have you done this? How much is it, and how long does it last? I want it!! 😉

I used to never leave the house without makeup, but after being too sick for a few months I couldn’t wear it and once I got used to it I’ve never looked back… I don’t have to worry about spending 25 mins trying to get my mascara off every night before bed! And I look fresh and healthy and natural!

My routine is down to moisturiser, a loose mineral powder and a touch of blush. Under a minute for makeup application… Yes please!

Im in your boat EXACTLY. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE makeup and think it looks great and think it’s fun…but it is also addicting. I used to wear coverup daily…then tinted moisturizer and now I am down to concealer and mascara and I still get annoyed by it. I hate looking alive with it then feeling I look like crap without it and just want my skin to breathe. I also get REALLY rossed out when my Fiance kisses me or touches my face and I have makeup on. My skin is so clogged and I just want to stop needing it. I hear ya. Im getting skin treatments and am forcing myself to go bare to finally feel like a “natural” beauty

I LOVE make up & have a lot of it. That being said most days I only use tinted moisturizer, black liner, lots of black mascara and lipgloss. That takes about 1 Minute so I don’t feel like a slave. I think just mascara and gloss or Chapstick can make you look fresh & put together, but for those who prefer a totally natural face, go for it! Personally I find way too many things I can’t live without at Sephora and ULTA… he he.

I looooove makeup and I just don’t feel right with the world and fabulous without it. That being said I’m not a slave to it, meaning if I need to run out without it I can. I also play hours upon hours of volleyball sans makeup and feel just as amazing.

I think it depends on the situation as to when I’m comfortable without it.

I went through so many phases about make up.

I went from Full coverage,

to minimal

to none

then slowly back starting with eye make up.. and now im bein as wise with my make up as possible.

If you really dont want to, then just take out the things you think you dont need to use any more. like things that arent very important to you. like instead of foundation, use a tinted moisterizer–youll feel better that its ” moisterizer”– with a little coverage. Instead of lipstick – go for lipliner and gloss… little by little will do the trick.

I wear it every day, but if I’m really lazy sometimes I just put on concealer and mascara.  Even just swiping on some mascara can make you feel a lot better without taking much time; try doing that and see how you like it!

I like it and usually do a pretty natural routine skipping the foundation and concealer most days (I stil wear a colour correcting primer and powder most of the time). I don’t go to work without at least my eyebrows done and some mascara on because I feel unpolished and unprofessional otherwise.

I used to be this way, then I started working with horses and at an animal shelter and it just seemed silly to put on makeup to clean litter boxes and scooping all kinds of poop… So I just stopped.  I still miss that feeling of “oh I look really pretty” and feeling like I’m ready for the day… but if I wear makeup I feel like it’s a waste because I just wear it off, especially in the summer…  So I save the makeup for special occations. 🙂

After 3+ years of this I’m starting to get used to my makeup free face and feeling like I look ok… sometimes I think I actually look pretty without makeup.  Which is something I never thought I’d say… Just take your time, maybe just baby steps… A little tinted moisturizer, bronzer and mascara can go a long way.

@WhatMaeBee: Sorry it took me forever to check this thread again. It usually lasts me between six and eight weeks. I’ve had it done a few times when I’ve been going on holidays etc. and I know I might get caught out without my make-up on!

You can get home kits as well to DIY. I always like to go to the professionals to see how it should be done before I attempt it myself!

I don’t wear full face on a day to day basic. What I would do Is slowly stop wearing so much. Switch foundation to a tinted moisturizer. As far as eye make up my trick for a quick eye is to line my eyes with an Urban Decay eye liner then I swipe on my NYX Jumbo eye pencil on my eye and smudge a little. Quick smokey eye! It makes me look like I put time into my make up when I really haven’t. Or I sweep on a shadow that is my skin tone on my entire lid and then use a darker color in my crease just to define. Takes 3 min. Good luck.

I must admit I don’t feel that comfortable going out without any makeup..I guess it’s a habit…what I do have is a minimal look for when I’m in a hurry – just concealer, mascara and a slick of lipgloss and eyeliner if I have time – I save the full face for special occasions, when I have time etc. How about a compromise?

When I was a freshman in HS, I never wore any. Then over the summer, I started wearing eye makeup. That trend continued for the rest of my high school career. Then I wore it for the half of the year after graduation when I was just chillin at my house waiting to go to basic training. Wasn’t allowed to wearing any during basic and after basic, I didn’t feel like getting up an extra 10 minutes early just to put on make up that looks like I’m not wearing any. So now I basically don’t wear it except on days when I don’t work. And even then, I only wear it if I’m going to see Fiance (via skype) and even then most times I don’t. I wear it maybe once every two months now haha and I have only ever worn eye makeup. I used to think I looked sick if I didn’t wear any, but now I don’t really care. Fiance doesn’t care if I wear it or not so I rarely do. I think after I’m back stateside and we’re married, I might wear it a little more often, but not daily.
