If someone used 76 Trombones for their first dance, I wouldn’t raise an eyebrow, you kind of have to be half crazy to get married anyway, and every relationship has it’s little quirky secret things in it…so do what works for you…no one’s going to notice anyway.

I personally like the song and think it would be a nice addition to your music selection!  I don’t think anyone will really notice/care about that one verse.  The rest of the song fits, I think. πŸ™‚

Oh, I wouldn’t worry about the lyrics at all.  One of my favorite songs (and current ringtone) is Love Hurts by Nazareth, and I had my DJ play it during dinner!  Not quite a “wedding” type of song lol.

I wouldn’t worry about the lyrics. I’m considering using the song in some way, as well. Maybe when I walk down the aisle? My harpist says she knows it so there won’t be an issue with lyrics πŸ™‚ Also, Fiance and I love the song Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews Band… and that’s about sex/cheating.

I personally think Train is barf for music, but the lyrics are fine.  Use the song if you like it.

I feel like several bride and grooms choose this as their song. You will be fine.

That’s the song that was playing as soon as I walked out of the dressing room in the dress that would end up being “The One” so I’m biased when I say I love it. I get teary eyed anytime I hear it because I remember that moment pretty well. But I say go for it..and like PP said, don’t worry about the one line of the lyrics! If it’s a good reminder of your relationship with Fiance, dance on sista.

I love it. I am using the first two lines in my vows. πŸ™‚ I’m thinking of having it play quietly in the background During the ceremony. I love train.

I like the song alot! I am going to have my BMs walk down the aisle to a strings version of it. That one line irks me too…but not enough not to play it (and I’m just having strings, so no lyrics obviously)…I do think it is a littttttle cliche, but I like it. πŸ™‚
