I want to alter my plain satin wedding dress to a strapless sweetheart. Here are some pictures of a couple I found that look like what mine should look like. What do you think about them? Too plain? I personally love it and think it is so classic, but I want my fiancé to be wowed when he sees me, and I just hope it will be enough. I do have a veil with a blusher, and statement earrings, so that will add some drama. Thanks in advance 🙂

The dip is a little too subtle in the first one, but I don’t mind the second one. It’s a little plain to me if I stop and think about it, but I think with beautiful hair, makeup, and accessories it could look lovely.

xcsgjx : satin doesn’t need much embellishment. And I think the styles you posted look classy. There’s no lack of anything.

That makes me feel better!

Personally it is too plain and lego bride for my tastes but that’s just me.

I LOVE “plain” wedding dresses. They’re so classic and elegant. I too prefer the second neckline more than the first.

Gorgeous!! I personally would attach embellished straps like this just to glam it up even more!

It’s gorgeous! It’s classic and beautiful in its simplicity. A dress doesn’t need to have lots going on to be beautiful.

You’ll look back on your wedding photos and see a gorgeous, classical dress that won’t look outdated.

this is stunning, but I will just note that if you are altering it from a style with straps you may run into trouble. Strapless gowns have a surprisingly complicated structure build into them so they can defy gravity and avoid the dreaded tugging. This general includes a corset like structure as well as a waist stay and if you have a larger chest it also involves a built in bra with another stay. This allows the dress to anchor around your waist since it cant anchor on your shoulders anymore.
If adding in the structure isnt a problem, then go ahead! The strapless design is stunning
