@futuremrshc: I think it depends on how thickly you want them to cover the aisle. I ordered some silk ones from save-on-crafts and they came in sets of 100. They really didn’t look like that many to me. But like I said, I think it depends on how thick you want the petals.

@futuremrshc: So is that how many rows of chairs you’ll be having on each side?

@futuremrshc: I would say use about 150 petals per girl. If you only had one Flower Girl I would say more. You were on the right track 🙂

If I understand you correctly, you will have a total of 14 chairs. I suggest having one row of 3 and one row of 4 on each side with the row of 3 first, then the row of 4. For the petals, I suggest 3 or 4 cups per basket. If you are using silk petals, I think that would be 2 small boxes or 1 big box. If you think your flower girls/boys will be throwing out fistfuls, then I suggest 1 big box and 1 small box or 3 small boxes.

@futuremrshc: I don’t think that would look weird at all. Very balanced and nice.

@futuremrshc: I don’t think it would look bad, but I think it would look better, if you still used an extra chair on each side. There will be a space, but I still think it will look better. We are going to have a couple extra chairs at our ceremony too, just for symmetry purposes. I figure not everyone is going to want to sit right next to each other anyway and a couple of the ladies may want to set their purses on one of the extra chairs, instead of the ground.

@futuremrshc: Yes, I would get at least 400. If you check out Michaels and Joanns, they sell petals in boxes. I suggest using coupons to get them because they can be expensive. You can use more than one coupon at Joanns, but only one at Michaels.
