I asked my godfather. I wanted someone close to us to perform the ceremony.

I just searched on Google actually for officiants in the area until I found one that fit with what we needed.

Do you have any friends or family who you’d like to do it? In most states, they can get an online ordination to perform weddings.  In MA, we don’t even need our officiant to do that – you can get a one-day license to act as a wedding officiant, even if you’re not a minister/judge/etc.

I got a recommendation from my ceremony/reception location. After looking her up she seemed great, the only problem was she was already booked!

Now I plan on googling and looking for reviews on sites like WeddingWire.

We’re hoping our preacher will do ours, but if he can’t we will have to find someone! Best wishes in finding your officiant.
