(Closed) How do you get pumped?

I really love watching TV while working out, I either sprint or relax during commercials and I know they are over in 30 min. That’s why I really really wish I could have a treadmill at home, but there is zero room. I’ve also just started reading a book about planning a ceremony while I’m on the ellyptical — I like to think about myself walking down the aisle and what I want to look like when I’m doing it!!  I used to have a coworker that I worked out with — I think a really good thing is working out with a buddy because it’s a) more fun and b) you hold yourself accountable!!  Do you have a friend or a bridesmaid that would work out with you?  That could be fun!! 

What does everyone else do?!

I work out with a friend or Mr. Doctor.  Classes really help too, because you have to stay intense the whole time.  Barring those incentives, I have a couple of running playlists on the i-pod that sometimes help.  (Though I’ve found myself a couple of times associating favorite songs with pain from running).

This is going to sound really cheesy too, but I also think about my dress.  (covering face in shame!)

I like to read gossip magazines (USWeekly) or watch trashy reality tv. At the gym is the ONLY time I do these things, and for some reason it’s just really easy to pass the 45 minutes when you’re watching a bunch of blonde bimbos rip eachother’s hair out. lol.

I meet my sister for some of my workouts so it motivates me to go. I also continuously update my "Wedding Pump-Up" iPod playlist: some bigtime motivating songs; here’s a few that get me going:

One of the best things about my gym is there are TVs attached to the machines. All I have to do is plug in my headphones and if I can find a re-run of The Real Housewives, or Top Chef, or Judge Judy I am a happy camper.

I recently started going to the classes at my gym instead of doing it on my own – it makes it harder to slack or stop early if I’m in a room full of people doing the same thing.  I also started creating playlists on my iPod before I go jogging.  One of the songs we are considering for our first dance is ‘Ever the Same’ by Rob Thomas…which is also great to run to!  I get super pumped when that comes on because I remember why i want to work out in the first place

i work out on my elliptical machine in the guest bedroom however we don’t have cable in there just a dvd player so i watch a sex and the city episode for 30 minutes… something about seeing those fabulous ladies in their cute dresses and manolos keeps me motivated 😉

and thinking about walking down the aisle!!
