(Closed) How do you get those gorgeous ring pictures?

a hum… i admit i’ve had a few photo sessions for my ring… i’m not a professional pgotographer, and my camera is an average compact digital from last year. though i’ve learnt i get the best photos outdoors on bright clear days, though the ring should not be in direct sunlight. do you have a diamond in the ring? then whatever bright color you wear will reflect nicely in the stone. i like deep purple and blue colored shirts for my photo sessions =)  and i set my camera to supermacro to get close to the ring and blur the background out. good luck and have fun photographing =)

@MrsBeck:  I just use my Canon A2300. I don’t use any special lighting, though…

@MrsBeck:  Not usually. I just use the overhead light above my desk and that’s typically enough light. If the lighting in your apartment is really crappy, try going outside during the day…that might help. (:

The best picture I have of my ring isn’t even of it on my finger.  My Fiance took this picture of it to send to my parents like 2 hours before he proposed.  He just used his Galaxy S2 I believe.
