I’m a fan of the personal groomers, but that’s probably only b/c I’m too big a chicken to try a brazilian!

i wax but havent done the brazillian for ages (its true ladies, once you get married you can let yourself go a bit!)  so i like a nice bikini wax with a little bit of hair but not too much, so i do sometimes trim it

I was doing bikini waxes this spring… but between paying off my car and credit card, that extra $35 every few weeks really started to add up!

    Shaver. For now.

Shaving all the way, but not cause of fear of pain– I just don’t want to pay 65 bucks for somebody to hang out in my snatch ripping off hair for 30 minutes.

I’m sure I’ll wax for the wedding though.

that 1/2hr & $50 each month is SOOO worth it. it’s a month of feeling & looking great for me, no maintenance needed, and my guy is so happy πŸ˜€

@ fiftyfootbride – LOL! I love your response. I wouldn’t want to pay $65 for that either!!!! I’ll probably wax for the wedding too, but for now I’m a shaver. πŸ™‚

@Bella- I calls ’em like I sees ’em.

I also wonder– What sort of idle chit-chat goes on during the sessions? I know whenever I have ‘beauty’ work done, I always get yappers. My hair stylist is one thing, I’ll talk to him like a regular person. I just hate nail/brows/etc small-talk. But I also bet I’d feel like making statements like, “Uh, yeah, I’m not normally like this down here, cause like, I let it grow out for the waxing,” etc. I tend to get the verbal runs when I’m nervous/uncomfortable.

I shaved for soooo long, which worked well because Fiance and I were long distance so I only had to do it once a week. Well, now we live together and shaving is such a pain in the butt. So now I keep it really short with an electric shaver thing. Lol I can’t remember what they’re called. So I do that and shave the bikini line.

I have tried it all but currently I shave due to financial reasons.

I had a horrible experience with my first brazilian – like to the extent of bruises – and it was a reputable esthetician  – so now I am scared and don’t think I will ever get one again!

I’m not that hairy so I just trim with scissors.  Unfortunately I can’t see down there anymore with my stomach blocking my view!

I have done brazilian a bunch of times in the past but like you girls said, the cost adds up for sure. For the wedding I haven’t decided if I will do a brazilian or wax but leave a little bit of a landing strip.

So for now I just shave but I always get razor bumps and ingrown hairs. I tried Nair and that didn’t work either. Does anyone have any solutions to get rid of the hair without going through the bumps and rashes?
