Brazillian wax all the way! I like it baby smooth and hairless!

    Shaving. I can't handle pain.

Tweezing... I only need to get rid of a few stray strands

Trimming... I just like it short and neat, but not completely gone

None, I'm an au natural kinda girl

    Other (please enlighten us)

Veet works wonders. It is just a cream that you put on, leave on and they “shave” off with a bladeless razor. It just eats the hair away. I have thick, course hair so shaving doesn’t work well for me. I started using Veet in college and have been using it ever since.

Can I tell you how much I hate shaving? hate hate hate. HATE.

That being said, I’m super cheap. Going rate in my town for brazillian seems to be about $75-85 before tip (and you KNOW if you get that friendly w/ someone who will be causing that much pain on a regular basis you better tip good). That is just sooo much money to spend. I have dreams of getting eloctrolysis on everything from eyebrows down (shape brows, pits, netherlands, and legs) some day. Not sure if I’ll ever have that much time or money though. 🙂

So for now, lesser of two evils.

@cable2be- have you tried nair? is veet better? I tried nair on my legs in hs and it literally gave me burns. most painful thing ever! super scared of hair-eating creams since then. eek!

@Cable2Be- Do you do it like, just on the front/bikini, or do you go totally bare? i.e. Do you put Veet all the way downstairs?

The idea of Veet seems pretty awesome, but then I think about putting chemicals that dissolve hair up in my vaj area. It hurts just to think about it.

I use straight up nair. Anything else just really irritates my skin, plus I can do it at home in the bathroom reading a magazine for the 5 minutes you have to wait. Just have to be reaaaaaaaally careful not to get it on sensitive parts…

I shave, but one of the only nice things about being long distance is I only have to do it once a month or so! I totally don’t mind the au naturale state, and neither does Fiance really, but I make an effort for now at least!

I shave daily. Keeps it clean. 🙂

J actually told me he doesn’t care though, which grossed me out a little. Okay, a lot.

I’m of the opinion that humans should have evolved past bodily hair by now, and am a little miffed that we haven’t, hehe.

Yeah…as much as I would love to be brave enough to get a brazilian…holy moly the thought of it makes me want to cry. I am such a wimp. That, and like fiftyfootbride said, the awkwardness of paying someone to go down there and take care of business…heck to the no!

Also…how awkward of a job is that for the people who do it?!?! I can’t even imagine…

I use veet, very careful about applying it, I’ve done it for 4 years (not too frequently, I’m ashamedly lazy and in an LDR anyway!) I’ve never had any probs. No itch from shaving, cheaper than paying to have it waxed (uncomfortable with having someone do my trimming). I don’t see the problem in doing it!

I shave- no big deal, REFUSE to wax and I’m def not gonna start for the wedding….I’m so bad w/ pain, I cry when I get my eyebrows waxed, can you imagine what I’d do if I got down there waxed? Bad news bears…

Veet, eh? May look into that. In high school, a friend talked me into buying a bottle of Nair for our legs (we went on spring break together), and afterwards I used it on my cooch, and … well, let’s just say the label says something to the extent of “Not for use in bikini zone” for a reason. It BURNED, stung and was red and sensitive for a LONG time, at least a few weeks. Hurt like a mother when it grew back in too… fortunately no one was seeing it back then, haha.

I don’t mind shaving, daily helps keep it from ever getting even to the prickly stage, and it takes all of 30 seconds in the shower, but it’s just not as smooth as I’d ideally like. Girls who use Veet (or Nair) – is there a special formula that’s less, uh, dangerous? Or can you give some tips? Or do you not really go ‘brazilian’ with it?

I voted brazilian but I just get a full bikini wax (almost the same thing)  I started doing it for bathingsuit season and now I can’t go without it.  That and eyebrow threading are my beauty must-haves.

I get a brazilian every 4-5 weeks. I never liked having to shave or deal with that and i hated the personal trimmers and i’m allergic to the roll ons. I started off doing my own waxing and that wasn’t so bad. Then a friend convinced me to go full bore so i did. THe first time hurt so incredibly bad, but i did it 3 months before the wedding so i had to go back…and go back…and by the time the wedding rolled around, I realized how much less it hurt and that if i ever let it grow back, i’ll never go back to the salon again.

It’s expensive, boo. But i like it, too. Clean I guess? I’ve never liked the fuzzies, personally. I always felt naked! Funny how i feel less naked now, eh?

I think it helps that i really like my aesthetician. She’s super cool and funky =]
