It’s been almost a year and I still don’t have any wedding photos up in my home! I’m still trying to figure out how I can tastefully display them. We have a large empty wall above our fireplace in our living room where I was thinking of displaying a shadow box of items from our wedding and photos of us and our wedding party. I’m a little worried people will think it’s tacky to have a display like this in the living room.
How do you have yours displayed in your home?

We have ours displayed in a collage in our living room. There are only a couple pictures of just us and then we have a bunch of pictures of us with family and friends displayed that were taken at our wedding.
I know I’ve read some opinions about this being tacky but I don’t really care. I enjoy looking at them and we don’t really have other pictures to display anyways (no kids or pets).

purplebumblebee: Our photography package included a bunch of professional prints. We have the largest print (36×24) hanging over the couch. We have a 16×20 hanging in the hallway along with another 16×20 having in the bedroom. We also have a table in the hallway so I plaed a bunch of 4×6 and 5×7’s on the table.
Overall, I think I have about 10 wedding photos on display in my house.
I also have other types of art on the wall to break up the wedding effect……

I have some friends who have lots of wedding photos all over their house including a giant canvas opposite their bed. I find it slightly odd that it’s just pics of them, never with friends or family. I would like one of the two of us and then maybe some group shots.
At the end of the day, it’s your house and people can think what they want, you should put up what you want to look at every day.

We just have our album sitting on one of the side tables in our living room. We never got canvas prints or anything. We actually just bought a house so I might have a couple pictures printed and put them up in the new house. I wouldn’t do a lot with “just us” because it can start to look a little narcissitic.

My best friend got married 10 years ago. She has a few wedding pictures in small frames around her house with other photos. She never had ordered any large prints. Now all her family pictures have her children in them so she’s happy she didn’t

We have two 20×30 canvas prints, one zoomed out landscape shot with the two of us in the living room (and plenty of other art on the walls) and one of the two of us in our bedroom. I haven’t made an album yet but I plan to have it on the coffee table along with other books. After all that money on photos, I wanted to display a couple favorites so I could see them EVERY DAY!

One large canvas print over the fire place and a few smaller prints in various frames scattered around the house.

purplebumblebee: I spent a lot of money on photography and taking pictures was my favorite part of the day. My photographer was able to capture some amazing shots and I really wanted to be able to look at them daily. As for company/friends thinking its weird or narcissitic, I could really care less. We rarely have people over our place (prefer meeting people out) and I wanted my apartment to be a reflection of me and my Darling Husband….. wedding pics included 🙂

We have ours displayed in our living room and people who come into our home complement them all the time. We have been married for almost 5 years now so I’m thinking about adding other pics instead of having it 100% wedding, but we shall see.
This is a far away picture, but you can see the frames on the wall. (Ignore the crooked one too lol, its fixed now.)

purplebumblebee: this is a good question as i just got married and i was thinking about this. So far i only have iphone and disposable film camera photos from our wedding not the professional ones yet so maybe once i see those i’ll definitely know what i’ll do. I have one film print taken of me in my dress with edinburgh castle behind me in a small frame with our family photos so far. I intend to get a photobook made on photobox.com once i get all the images and probably have some form of framed collage on our living room wall. The perfect ones, the ones with our friends, the posed ones and the silly ones!

AnnieAAA: I lOVE your living room. Don’t mind me, I’m just gonna crash on your couch for a while with your dog. Looks like he/she will make a nice cuddle pal 😉

I ordered 3 of mine on canvas (1 of just me and my hubby, one of the whole wedding party and one of our families together) and plan on putting them in a collage in the living room.
Edited – typo!
