(Closed) How do you help your man get healthy?

Eating healthy together is a huge step and it seems like you’re already doing that.

Training for something together might really get him jump-started.  Fiance and I are currently training for a half-marathon together and it’s really challenging, but also really fun!

I agree with @hotchild in that it will be so much easier if it’s something you both do together.  Even if it’s long walks to start with.  But he has to find an activity that he actually enjoys doing and then maybe you can join him with that.  What about martial arts?

I agree with everyone else, I think that establishing healthy eating together and exercising together is the best way to go. 

I really worry about my Future Father-In-Law. He’s a big meat and potatoes type of guy, and has steadily put on weight over the years. He eats McDonald’s just about every day… too bad it’s so hard to talk to people about things like that!

I think the idea of training for a marathon together is a good idea.  You could also try and have dates that are more active, like going for a hike or bike ride instead of just going to movies and dinner.
