    1) looked good on me

    2) affordable

I probably could’ve been just as happy in about a dozen other gowns. It may be “the” dress, but it’s just a dress and i wanted it to look good on me and not break the bank.

If you aren’t feeling the dress, wait a little and shop around. It’ll still be there.

I tried on lots and lots of dresses and LOVED looking at them online! I was losing hope fast and then one day went out with my mom and Future Mother-In-Law to a little dress shop in the middle of nowhere 2.5 hours away (Never expected to find anything)! The dress I bought ended up being the first one I tried on that day.  I had some reservations about it at first, so I kept trying on more and more dresses (I was there from like 10a -5p haha the staff was amazing) anyways, I kept coming back to that dress, so I tried it on again right before we were getting ready to call it quits and I looked at myself in the mirror and then it hit me “THIS IS MY DRESS” I could actually see myself getting married in it….and then I had the stereotypical “this-is-the-one-cry-over-your-dress” moment.  Something I never imagined myself having. ever.  After that I didnt really notice any other dresses.  I mean obviously I LOVE seeing the dresses on here, but I havent felt dress envy, like I needed to look for something else. Its love-when you know, you just kinda….know!

If your wedding date really isnt till April 2012 and youre unsure about the dress, then keep looking, dont settle on something right now because you feel like you might love it, otherwise you’ll just wind up with regrets and if you find something you like better you might end up being a multi-dress bride.  Trust me you have a lot of time to look and lots of time for more styles to come out! Take your time to go out and have fun with it! Keep your options open, because who knows, you may just find something that you fall head over heels for.

I figure that if you don’t think you’ll stop looking, don’t buy your dress so far out from your wedding. Keep trying things on, narrowing down what you’re looking for, then at 9-12 months out you should make a move to buy.

Too early and you might end up with 4 dresses!
