I set my alarm for 5:30am each morning. I temp, write into my phone, and then sleep til 6am.  ๐Ÿ™‚  My DH has gotten used to the beeping, though I try and muffle it under the sheets when I can.

Sometimes you can still get open circles from being “sleep deprived” and a few other Secondary signs could give open circles on your chart. If you take your temp later or earlier, there is a temperature corrector on FF.com, but its for VIP only. I don’t use it that often. Usually FF can see the pattern anyway.  ๐Ÿ™‚

If you’d like, join us over on the Charters of the Hive thread!

@MrsBananas:  No prob!  And I second FreckledFox, you should come over to the Charters thread.  I just joined recently.

I am still on temporary VIP with FF as well and not sure if I will actually pay for it… but someone posted a temperature corrector further up in this thread, if that’s all you’re looking for.

@MrsBananas:  It definitely wasn’t easy.  I temped each morning at 4:45.  I wake up for the gym 3 days a week so I had to maintain this time.  It sucks on the weekends, but I would just temp and wake-up.  The worst part was when I would have to get up to pee a few times before then.  If I had to go, I would jsut temp early.  You can always adjust as

@Turtle Bride:  said.

If you’re having trouble with getting up earlier than your alarm, temp early.  It really is SOOO important.  That was my biggest trouble our first few cycles.  I finally got it down, and boom, BFP that cycle.

@MrsBananas:  I actually just answered this question to another Charter!

I pay for VIP. I made a fake facebook, “liked” their page and got the deal! I love seeing the Chart overlay. Thats my FAVORITE. Also on the chart it will say #DPO, you can use the temperature corrector, Detailed Interpretation of your Chart and Info (useful tips!), and I think the cycle planner is VIP. I’m definitely addicted to that. It gives you your posisble O dates for up to 12 months and corresponding due dates.  ๐Ÿ™‚

@Turtle Bride:  WOW that thing is accurate!  I woke up at 3:15am this morning, took my temp, but fell back to sleep.  I took my temp again when the alarm went off at 4:45am and it was almost exact  to that calculator.

Thanks!

my alarm is set for 6:30, i pretty much wake up at that time every day (even on weekends).

this morning i woke up at 6:15 and i just temped then.

sunday, i woke up at 7:30am and temped then.

i didn’t discard or mark it.  i’m only cd6 but FF i think is smart enough to take the times and temps differences into consideration (at least from what i have heard).

this is my first month temping.  so we will see if it is a problem come the holidays.  but even if a day or 2 is missed, i’m sure overall it won’t matter too much.

@amandasf:  I know! It has happened to me a couple of times that I  woke up earlier than usual and I took my temperature at both times and then compared them with the results of the calculator and it was the same!
