Wow, this is fun and depressing at the same time.  Apparently, I’m like someone from Somalia.

BMI is bullshit. It doesn’t take body composition into account.

Apparently I am most like someone from Papua New Guinea? Whatever that means.

OUCH! I’m heavier than 96% of females worldwide and 73% of females in the US,

AND, I’m most like someone from Samoa!

Thanks for enlightening my day. Off to starve myself…

Higher BMI than 67% of women in my age range worldwide but lower BMI than 59% of women in my country (which very much surprises me).

I know BMI means extremely little when measuring fitness ect but interesting nonetheless :3

According to the site:

You have a lower BMI than 91% of females aged 30-44 in your country

You have a lower BMI than 72% of females aged 30-44 in the world

So apparently I’m right at the average mark for the world, and at the low end for this country.
ETA I think it’s kinda weird to be lumped in with 15 year olds, but girls really do develop by that age so I guess it really isn’t inaccurate.

I have a BMI lower than 88% of females age 15-29 in the United States and lower than 60% females age 15-29 in the world.

I’m most like someone from Chad?! Wtf? Haha!

Whoa, looking at that chart of the countries, lots of surprises!

Here’s my screenshot!

  (I’m 25, 125 pounds, 5’5″, live in the US)

Oh wow. My favorite part is the little factoid telling me that if everyone in the world had my BMI, we’d add the equivalent of MARS to the total weight of the world’s population. Thanks, BBC, for that awesome pick me up.

I have a lower BMI than 93% of women my age in the United States, and a lower BMI than 73% of women my age in the world. I am “most like” someone from Eritrea, which I’ve never heard of, but apparently is somewhere in Africa. Somehow I don’t think that’s supposed to be a good thing…

ETA: My BMI is 19 and I am in the 15-29 age group.

@MeiFrancis:  hmm I have the same BMI, but it compares me to women in Somalia, maybe just it’s just because I’m old (33)?  I agree the age groupings are weird.

It looks like I should be Japanese.
