Hi HR bees,
Just a quick question – how do you mention employees you have known in a cover letter, either those you know through networking events, happen to have worked with in another place, or something? I would like to say that I have worked with XYZ person after she was transferred to my company, and was very impressed by blahblah. I’ve also been impressed by other former employees such as ABC, who worked on a blahblah project with me. This company encourages networking and prides itself on its network of current and former employees so it wouldn’t be a bad thing to mention their previous employees, I just am not sure how to do it without appearing like I am just name-dropping. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for hogging the career boards lately!
