I’m about to order a blingy belt to go with my dress, and I need to place the order NOW to get it in time. I prefer for it to be a hook closure instead of a tie-back….but what if I gain or lose weight?!
How do you guys estimate for slight changes in your waist size? Or do I just suck it up and do a tie-back.

I ordered my blingy belt in the size I was when I ordered my dress. I have lost some weight and will continue to do so before the wedding, but they told me not to worry about weight loss because they would cut the belt to size (if needed) and sew it into my dress when I have it altered.

I’ve never seen a hook-back bridal belt specifically, but if it works with just a regualar hook and eye closure it should be extremely easy to adjust the size. you could even do it yourself.

I just had my sash sewn directly onto my dresss, it was originally a hook/eye. My dress was a corset style back though so she sewed it on so it wouldn’t cover the corset.

I ordered the belt when I got my dress. I lost about 10 pounds and the belt was too big.. so the bridal salon will be altering it for me. They’re charging $20. Mine is fabric in the back and crystal up front though (also hook eye).. so if yours is crystal all the way around that might be a bit more difficult to alter.
