I am not pregnant, but I recently turned 31 and am thinking kids will be in my future in the next couple years. I had a lot of anxiety about pregnancy when I was younger because I am such a prude and I felt shy about everyone being up in my business during the process 🙂 I have been thinking a lot about kids lately though and am wondering….
How did you all prepare your body and health for pregnancy?
I have a heart arrhythmia and tachycardia and take a beta blocker (metoprolol). I was getting worsening heart palpitations with my periods and started to take a low dose birth control and iron pills for anemia. This combo has 98% resolved my heart palpitations, which are terrifying, and helped with my PMDD. I am very worried about how pregnancy will impact my body. I will obviously have to stop my BC, but my doctor said I could still probably take my beta blocker.
My sister said she gets heart palpitations when she is pregnant and she does not have a diagnosed arrhythmia like I do.
I will of course speak to my doctors at my next check ups but am hoping someone here has a similar experience or has some advice to offer.
